What are ActionLAC's objectives?

ActionLAC seeks to accelerate Latin America's capacity to response to climate change by promoting Climate Action(s) among non-state actors and positioning the region within the global context.
By mobilizing Climate Action commitments from all sectors, ActionLAC seeks to have millions of Latin Americans already involved in the transition process to low emissions economies and more resilient cities, companies and communities by 2020-- the year the Paris Agreement goes into effect. ActionLAC aims to advance rapidly toward the COP21 Intended Nationally-Determined Contributions (INDCs) and progress beyond these climate goals.

What is ActionLAC?

The ActionLAC platform promotes the complete lifecycle of Climate Actions by: supporting actors in an initiative's main stages; mobilizing commitments from multiple actors; developing effective interventions; catalyzing seed capital; monitoring, evaluating and revising action plans; promoting learning among various initiatives; disseminating information; and analyzing overall impact.

Our ecosystem

ActionLAC's coordinating unit, led by Fundación Avina, works within an ecosystem of institutional and informational allies, donors, and regional networks bringing value to various stages of the Climate Action cycle. Climate action initiatives linked to the platform are themselves multi-actor networks which directly coordinate and monitor commitments with allies on the ground and guarantee that services provided by the platform are designed to accelerate impact.

Why join ActionLAC? Products and services

To accelerate Climate Action, ActionLAC provides several services and products for non-state actors committed to advancing the climate change agenda.
